First of all we will take a lo0k at company’s background
because company’s past matters, Simmtronics Semiconductor Ltd. is
an Indian privately held, multinational computer technology company that
develops, manufactures, sells and supports - Memory component,
Motherboard, Tablet PC, Simmbook, Low cost PC and
other computer related parts. The company was originally founded in Delhi,
India in 1992 by Indrajit Sabharwal, Managing Director.
Review:-
Simmtronics announced three tablets in the Indian market,
including Xpad X720, Xpad X801 (8 inch with voice calling) and Xpad X1010 (10
inch).
The Simmtronics Xpad X720 is a 7 inch tablet
without SIM calling facility which currently is available for Rs,
3649. However, it
has decent features such as
1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor, Android4.0( Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system, 4 GB internal memory etc.

Simmtronics has made all his buttons and ports like volume rocker, charger
port, 3.5 mm jack, micro USB slot and power button are all paced side by side
on the right hand side when you hold the tablet in the portrait mode. Sometimes
this arrangement gives you problem while using the tablet. Otherwise the tablet
has good body built.
The resolution of Xpad X720's is 800 x 480 pixels. Though the resolution
is not so good but in 4000 it is applicable, so one should not complaint about
it. The touch response is also appreciable and undoubtedly one of the best
devices via its touchscreen quality.
Simmtronics Xpad X720 comes with
internal storage of 4GB in which 2GB is available for user usage. It has
External memory expandable upto 32GB via micro SD card.
This is the best and the most noticeable part and we were also surprised
with the results. The Simmtronics Xpad X720 comes with just a 2800 mAh Lithium
- Polymer battery but with gives you astounding performance.
The tablet gets charged quite fast and maintains the charge
for a long time. For instance, it managed to keep some charge for continuous
three days without any charging in between. As per Simmtronics, the Xpad X720
provides 100 hours of standby time and 4 hours of internet browsing.

Simmtronics Xpad X720 comes with Wi-Fi (b/g/n)
chip but it lacks on Bluetooth and
SIM which may disappoint many buyers.
But you can still access 3G through a data dongle.
It has multi format supporting video and audio players.
Owing to poor resolution, high definition videos would not visible as they
should be. However, I did enjoy reading ebooks on it thanks to its decent
brightness which is good indoors and is okay outdoors as well.
The Simmtronics Xpad X720 comes with a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 which
is suported by Android ICS operating system and 512 MB DDR3 RAM. The
combination is usual to most budget tablets but the tablet provides a decent
performance.
In a NUTSHELL:-
The Simmtronics Xpad X720
is ideal for one who hire it for reading eBooks, news, internet browsing and
doing such other stuffs. You can enjoy playing music as well as videos; but not
HD movies due to low resolution. You can play some light games on this tablet but
don’t try to download heavy games like Subway Surfers, real racing etc. Due low
on graphics and RAM our tablet sometimes hanged on playing games. But at last
it has good battery life and good looks and cheap price, we can’t expect
something more from it.
